Makers & growers of small batch, minimal intervention wines from biodynamic family vineyards in Margaret River.

Ryan Walsh and Freya Honen are two second generation vingerons in Margaret River. Their marriage in life has also lead to the marriage of fruit from both family vineyards in the Margaret River sub-region of Wallcliffe. The Walsh & Sons wines they produce reflect the different localities (Osmington & Burnside) of their two vineyards. Freya Honen is the daughter of David who founded Cape Mentelle in the late 70’s; The family has kept a key vineyard, literally on Margaret River which now makes the home block of Walsh & Sons. The Walsh vineyard in further inland, Ryan helped his old man plant the vineyard in school holidays in the 90’s, they both are still working the same vineyard.

We much prefer local names as we feel they better represent the small communities that exist within Margaret River. Our core wines are mirrored on the personalities of our younger extended family – energetic, youthful, playful and full of curiosity.
